This month I have been working with a few dynamic leaders on how to focus on product led growth.
In learning and development, I have helped design or been a part of several projects that have missed the mark on product led growth. We have been distracted by the solution and lose sight of the problem to be solved.
I have learned high impact leaders are not married to the solution but rather obsess about the problem and are flexible about the solution.
Speaking from experience it is tempting to get excited about a potential solution, but it is always a distraction. Focus on the problem and solving it well and the outcome will always be better.
Where is your energy being spent right now? Are you focused on solving a problem or enticed by the potential solution? Get out a piece of paper (or your favorite note taking app) and write down a rough estimate of where your energy is going. Map those things back to the bucket of “problem” or “solution”. What does this tell you? What actions should you take now?
