Finding Your Purpose – The Next Iteration

Nearly a year ago I wrote about finding your purpose and I have iterated on my own and even have a stronger frame in which I would create a purpose statement.

My new purpose statement is this

I am a son of God. I was born to teach, invite others to act, to bring souls to truth.

What is perhaps the most important thing about a statement like this is that it moves you. When I read this, it moves me and I can apply it to all the parts of my life.

Your purpose should include at least three parts. I am calling them the three I’s:

  • Identity – how you see yourself
  • Intent – what is most important to you
  • Impact – why your intent matters

IdentityIntent – Impact

I am a son of God. I was born to teach, invite others to act, to bring souls to truth.

You should regularly review and refresh your statement so it feels relevant and speaks to you. The more your actions align to your statement the happier and more fulfilled you will feel.

Take time now to review your purpose statement and set a reminder in your calendar for 3-6 months from now to review it again.
